Find out the Best VR Headset that Enhance your Live Experience
The virtual reality
market is evolving faster and faster and new innovations are boosting the
sector. Between classic virtual reality headsets, stand-alone, smartphone or
mixed reality headsets... It can quickly become difficult to find your way
around.
The first thing to do
is to identify your needs and how it will be used. After that it will already
be possible to move towards a wired or autonomous HMD. All the criteria will
have to be studied in order to find the ideal virtual reality headset.
Let’s compare :
Oculus Rift S :
It's a good VR
headset : comfort, freedom in play, ease of use and configuration. The only
regret is the integrated earphones. You should therefore favour your own audio
system. Nevertheless, and considering its very reasonable price, the Rift S
features make it an excellent VR device.
Oculus Go :
This standalone
headset is of very good quality and offers real comfort. The Oculus Go fails
mainly because of its low battery life, only three hours, and its display,
which has a few flaws. In the end, depending on the use that will be made of
it, this VR glasses nevertheless offers an excellent value for money.
Oculus Quest :
Oculus wanted to hit a
big bang into the virtual reality market, and he did. This Oculus Quest has
something to make people want to try virtual reality again. The simplicity, the
functions and the price of this HMD make it one of the best VR headset.
As for the Oculus shop, it's pretty well stocked, with some great VR games. One
can only regret the relatively heavy weight of the headset, which can be felt
during long sessions of use.
HTC Vive Pro :
HTC Vive Pro is
currently one of the best virtual reality headsets on the market. It offers the
richest and most immersive experience. On the other hand, it can be reproached
for its average comfort, even if an improvement is to be noted compared to the
classic Vive. Its price remains prohibitive.
Playstation VR :
With Sony's catalogue
and exclusives, the PlayStation VR has become, over the years, an obvious
choice for virtual reality. But its age means that some of the components are
becoming outdated and could do with some improvement - especially the
PlayStation Move, by the way.
This is part of the
comparison, the best to do and to have your own opinion is to test : on
exhibition, into stores….
